Updates and Reminders, October 17

Here are a few additional Updates and Reminders for the week:

As you are aware from the district’s email, Schoology is up and running.  At Oak Ridge, we are moving forward with Schoology at a slow pace.  Each teacher will be working on their page, but communication will continue through email until everyone is comfortable with the system.  We appreciate your patience with the roll out.

Saturday is a big day at Oak Ridge!  It is Home and School’s first Flea Market/Yard Sale.  ‘Doors’ to the Playground will open at 8.  Attached is the flyer that outlines the fun morning.

The votes are in! The students chose Emojis as the design for the Oakies Hearts of Courage 4th Annual Painting with the Twist Event on November 7th from 10-Noon.  This event happens on election day when the students are off.  The cost is $35.  Fifty percent of the proceeds go to support Oakies Hearts of Courage, a Home and School Committee focused on assisting Oak Ridge families coping with life threatening illnesses and/or life tragedies. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot.  Please use the link to register for the event. https://www.paintingwithatwist.com/studio/skippack/event/1297309/

We are proud of all the support the students have shown for Character Counts week.  A reminder that tomorrow is Yellow for Respect, Thursday is Blue for Honesty and Friday is Red for Caring.  Students can also wear a hat on Friday for 50 cents, which will go to support the Character Counts Coalition.

Picture Retake Day is this Thursday, October 19th.  Please send your form or the original packet in with your child on Thursday.

Please return your Kids Stuff book or payment by Friday, October 20th.
Thank you for your continued support!
