Updates and Reminders, May 7

It is hard to believe we are heading into our last month of school.  This year seems to have flown by.  As we head into the home stretch I wanted to send some important reminders for the last month of school:

Each year we spend a great deal of time creating classes for the upcoming school year.  Over the years I have really appreciated the trust and patience the families have given us with this task.  Attached is my letter explaining the process.

Please mark your calendar for the following that pertain to your student(s):

o Election Day- No School for Students- May 15
o 5th Grade OSSP project- May 17
o Open House- May 17, 5:30-7
o Field Day- May 25
o Memorial Day- No School- May 28
o Ice Cream Social (Home and School’s end of year Thank you!)- June 1, 6:30-7:30
Congratulations to all our 4th and 5th graders (over 90 of them) who participated in Reading Olympics.  The teams represented Oak Ridge well.  We earned several Blue Ribbons.

Thank You for your continued support!
