Oak Ridge > Graduate Continues Food Collection Tradition

A graduate of Oak Ridge Elementary has created a personal holiday tradition of giving. For the third year in a row, he has coordinated a collection of groceries and money in order to help needy families at Thanksgiving. He has made this food collection an annual tradition.

The student went to local businesses and asked his neighbors for donations of cash and/or food items. He also received canned goods collected at the Oak Ridge Bingo Night event, sponsored by the Home & School Association.

Through the generous spirit this student has ignited, ten families will each receive ten bags of food, including a turkey!
