Oak Ridge Elementary School is a welcoming community of learners located in Lower Salford Township in the southern part of Souderton Area School District. We are dedicated to providing a loving learning environment for our students that inspires, fosters independence, and enriches thinking so that they can successfully face the challenges of life. Former Owl and Souderton Area High School senior, Clayton Ruff, recently earned his Eagle Scout Award. Clayton’s project was part of our playground improvements. Clayton led a team that painted out backboards, created a new space for our Buddy Bench and planted a tree that will eventually provide shade to the Buddy Bench. Congratulations Clayton and thank you for your service to Oak Ridge!
The students and staff did a great job with our ALICE drills today. Officer Devlin, our school resource officer, was on hand, and he expressed how impressed he was with how smoothly the drills went. Here are some additional updates and reminders for the week...

Five of the books that an elementary student reads in the summer can count toward their goal of reading 25 – 30 books in the next school year. In order to meet the standard for proficient readers, students need to read at least 25 books each year.
