Updates and Reminders - January 9, 2026
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a peaceful holiday season filled with joy. We had a great week back from break! Here are some updates and reminders for January:
- Thank you, Oak Ridge for so generously filling 56 Stockings with thoughtful hand-picked gifts. You also generously donated $2,955 in donations for groceries, Walmart gift cards, and utilities to help Oak Ridge families in need celebrate the holidays. Thank you for making the season merrier and brighter for our community.
- In light of the holidays just passing, I wanted to remind families of the district’s personal electronic devices policy. Students may have cell phones and smart watches at school, but they must be silenced and kept in their backpacks during the school day and on the bus. Here is a link to the District Handbook for reference (found under the technology tab). Thank you!
- Girls on the Run is back at Oak Ridge for another season! The 3rd-5th grade girls were introduced to the program this afternoon and will be bringing home the Girls on the Run Flyer with more information about the program. Registration for the program opens this Monday, January 12th. Spots are limited! Reach out to Emily Marzewski at emarzewski@soudertonsd.org with any questions about the program.
- Home & School is having a Dine to Donate Event on Wednesday, January 14 from 6:30am to 10:00pm at the Chick-fil-a in Lansdale. Download the app and place a mobile order through dine-in, mobile-thru, carry out or delivery. Enter the code, OAKRIDGE, at check-out and 10% of your total purchase will be donated to Oak Ridge Elementary! Thanks for your support!
- Join us on Friday, January 16th at 6:30pm in the Oak Ridge Gym for Hobby Night, hosted by Home & School Association. Participants can register online. Please register by Tuesday, January 13th. We hope to see you there!
