Updates and Reminders - Jan. 12, 2024
We ended the day with our January Owl Time Assembly led by our Wise Owl 5th graders. It was a great assembly as we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and listened to some poems from our third graders. Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- In addition to all the great sharing that happened at today’s assembly, I also took some time to remind the students of the importance of the words we choose. Mrs. Beebe and I have been addressing a bit of an uptick in unkind and inappropriate comments lately and understand how that type of language can begin to spread.
- This Monday, January 15th is a day off for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
- With the initial forecast for Tuesday possibly including snow, we will be sending devices home this weekend. Unless there is a weather event or a special assignment from your child’s teacher, there is no need for your child to use the device over the weekend. Here is a link with more details about how FID days work in Souderton.
- Home and School is hosting Hobby Night in the cafeteria on Friday, January 19th. More information can be found in the News in a Nutshell sent out earlier in the week.
- And a huge thank you to Home and School for surprising me with new frames for our pictures in the hallways. I am excited to begin replacing the old frames and adding new pictures for all to enjoy.
- Wednesday, January 24th is an In-Service day. There is no school for students that day.
- Here is the latest episode of News From The Nest.
