Updates and Reminders - February 6, 2026

The students enjoyed another Sundae Bar Day!  Thanks to Home and School and all the parent helpers who made it a special Friday at Oak Ridge!  Here are some additional updates and reminders:

  • Valentine’s Socials will remain on Thursday, February 12th, (February 13th is now a school day). 
  • If you are taking a trip on Friday, February 13th, please don’t forget to reach out to Mrs. Chwieroth at attendOR@soudertonsd.org so she can code the absence as Excused Family Travel. 
  • We will have our next school-wide challenge and Kindness Spirit week in February.  We are bringing back our Valentine’s Mailbox Challenge that was such a big hit last year.  Mailboxes will be due on February 12th and voting will take place on February 13th. 
  • We will celebrate Kindness Week February 17th-20th.  Find more information about the theme days for Kindness Week.
  • Oak Ridge Home & School is excited to announce Oak Ridge 2026 Rocking Lip Sync Show is on Friday, March 27th, 2026 (30th as a snow date) at 7:00 in the Souderton Area High School Auditorium. See the Lip Sync Sign-up form. A committee member will reach out to confirm your registration by February 12th. Should you have any questions or concerns, please email to lipsyncor@gmail.com. We are looking forward to a fantastic Lip-Sync event filled with fun and excitement!
  • Home & School will host Afterschool Recs for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in February.  Sign-up now through the links below. If you have questions about the events, please email us at ASRec.ORE@gmail.com 
    • 5th grade (sign-up link) on Tuesday, February 10th  (Registration closes today. Don’t wait.)
    • 4th grade (sign-up link) on Tuesday, February 17th
    • 3rd grade (sign-up link) on Wednesday, February 25th
  • District families are invited to a free movie event, Screenagers.  The event will be held on Wednesday, February 18th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Indian Valley Middle School.  Snacks will be provided.  See the Screenagers Registration.
