Updates and Reminders - February 28, 2025

We ended the day and the month with our February Owl Time Assembly this afternoon.  Our Wise Owls and Second Graders did a fantastic job presenting.  We enjoyed great songs and celebrating awards from Specials.  Here are some additional updates for the coming weeks:

  • The Valentine’s Mailbox Challenge was such a hit with the kids that we decided to do Monthly Challenges for the rest of the year.  For March we are making it simple and are focusing on March Manners.  Each day the teachers will start the day with a brief reminder about different ways to show our manners throughout the school and we will practice throughout the day and month. 
  • Next week we will also celebrate Read Across America with a Spirit Week.  See the Read Across American flyer outlining each day.  
  • Yearbooks are On Sale for $19! Sale ends March 31st. Yearbooks can be ordered online!  The Homeroom Teacher's Last Name section says optional but please fill it in. 
  • Thank you to everyone who sent in items for our Bean Bag Food Program collection!  We will continue the collection until next Wednesday.  See the Bean Bag Program flyer that provides donation suggestions per grade level if you would like to participate. 
  • The Reading Olympics Mock Competition is on March 5th from 3:30-4:30 pm.  The big event is at the High School at 6:00 on Tuesday, March 11th.
  • March 6th is our Lip Sync at the high school from 7:00-9:00 pm.
  • March 7th is an in-service day, there is no school for students.
  • Home & School is having a volunteer event at Mitzvah Circle's new location at 435 Doylestown Road, Lansdale on Friday, March 7th when the students are off from school. The event is from 9:30-11:30am. All Oak Ridge families are welcome to come out and help spread kindness in our community.  Mitzvah Circle information and sign up.
