Updates and Reminders - March 14, 2025
The fast pace of March continues! From last Thursday’s Lip Sync to Reading Olympics, to the Art Reception last night, there have been a lot of after-school activities in a short time. This week’s episode of News From the Nest captures some of the big events that took place this past week. We love seeing our students and families so connected to school! Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- This month we are focusing on March Manners. Each day the teachers start the day with a brief reminder about different ways to show our manners throughout the school and we will practice throughout the day and month. The students are doing a great job trying to show their manners throughout the building.
- A paper copy of your child's Progress Report will be sent home on Thursday, March 20th. They will also be available online through Home Access Center (after 4:00pm) on.
- Next Friday, March 21st is Rock Your Socks For World Down Syndrome Day. We will also be having an Owl Time Assembly, so Friday will be an Oak Ridge Spirit Wear and Rock Your Crazy Socks Day.
- It’s Youth Arts Month! To celebrate, many Oak Ridge students have work displayed at the Indian Valley Public Library throughout the month of March.
- The Oak Ridge Book Fair is on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 9:00 AM -2:45 PM in the Gym. If you are able to volunteer, please use the sign-up genius link.
- The brand-new Oak Ridge Spirit Wear Store is now open! Please visit the online school store to view the shop and place your order.
- Oak Ridge Home and School is hosting a Prize Bingo fundraiser on Friday, May 2nd. Doors open at 5:30pm, bingo starts at 6:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the Home and School Web site.
- Yearbooks are On Sale for $19! Sale ends March 31st. You can order your yearbook online! The Homeroom Teacher's Last Name section says optional but please fill it in.
- Please note that the date for the Wizards is incorrect on our March calendar. The event is April 4th.
