Updates and Reminders - March 21, 2025
We ended our day with our March Owl Time assembly. Our Wise Owls and a group of fabulous first graders taught us about perseverance. We also Rocked Our Socks with a cool dance routine led by some awesome Owls and we learned about the history of the 5th grade tile project. It was a great assembly. Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- This month we continue our focus on March Manners. Each day the teachers start the day with a brief reminder about different ways to show our manners throughout the school and we will practice throughout the day and month.
- On Friday, March 28th Home and School is sponsoring another Sundae Bar. The cost is $2 and money is due by Wednesday, March 26th.
- Congratulations to our Owls who are participating in the Honors Band Concert at Indian Crest Middle School next Saturday, March 29th at noon. Tomorrow is another practice for the group, and it is picture day.
- It’s still Youth Arts Month! To celebrate, students from across the district have work displayed at the Indian Valley Public Library throughout the month.
- Mrs. Daley, our Librarian, will be hosting the annual Book Fair in the gym. The fair is on Wednesday, April 2nd, from 9:00 AM -2:45 PM in the Oak Ridge Gym. If you are able to volunteer, please use the Book Fair Sign-up Genius.
- The brand-new Oak Ridge Spirit Wear Store is now open! You can shop online and place your order.
- Oak Ridge Home and School is hosting a Prize Bingo fundraiser on Friday, May 2nd. Doors open at 5:30pm, bingo starts at 6:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the Home and School Web site.
- Yearbooks are On Sale for $19! Sale ends March 31st. You can order online! The Homeroom Teacher's Last Name section says optional but please fill it in.
- Please note that the date for the Wizards is incorrect on our March calendar. The event is April 4th.
