Updates and Reminders - April 4, 2025
Congratulations to Mrs. Daley on her first Book Fair this past Wednesday. It was a huge success. Thanks to the many parent volunteers who helped make the day a success! We are so lucky to have such a supportive community. Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- We are looking forward to our 3rd Grade play, The High Seas, next Friday, April 11th. The students have been working hard to prepare during music and Flight times, so it should be a great show..
- Home and School is sponsoring a Bowling Night at Earl Bowl on Friday, April 11th from 6:00-8:00pm. You can register online for Bowling Night.
- As we approach April, just a reminder that Spring Break starts on Wednesday, April 16th and the students return to school on Tuesday, April 22nd.
- PSSAs for our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders begin the week we return from Spring Break. Here is our schedule:
- ELA: Wed- April 23, Thu- April 24, Fri- April 25
- Math: Mon- April 28, Tue- April 29
- Sci (5th gr. only): Wed- April 30, Thu- May 1
- Home & School is having a volunteer event at Living Hope Farm, located here in Harleysville at 461 Indian Creek Rd, on Saturday April 19th. The event is from 9:00-11:00am. All Oak Ridge families are welcome to come out and help spread kindness in our community. For more information and to sign up in advance please visit the Living Hope volunteer form.
- The brand-new Oak Ridge Spirit Wear Store is now open! Please see the online store to view the shop and place your order.
- Oak Ridge Home and School is hosting a Prize Bingo fundraiser on Friday, May 2nd. Doors open at 5:30pm, bingo starts at 6:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the Home and School Web site.
- Yearbooks are STILL on sale for $19! The sale was extended till Tuesday, April 15th. You can order a yearbook online! The Homeroom Teacher's Last Name section says optional but please fill it in.
- As part of our final Flight session in May we are hoping to have weekly Career/Hobby speakers on Fridays. Flight Time is from 2:40-3:10pm. Our goal is to offer the career topics to our 2nd-5th graders and have them sign up for the careers they are interested in learning more about. If you would like to share about your career or hobby, please fill out the parent sharing form by April 15th.
- The Indian Valley Ed Foundation's Harlem Wizards game is Tonight, April 4th. Good luck to Mrs. Weidemeier and Mrs. Tonik who will be representing Oak Ridge!
