Updates and Reminders - September 6, 2024
We’ve had two great weeks to start the year and are ready for our big celebration tonight. A big THANK YOU goes to our Home and School for organizing tonight’s Bash. The playground opens at 5:30pm and we go until around 7:00pm. Hope to see everyone tonight! Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- On Friday, September 13th, we will have our first Owl Time assembly. These are school-wide assemblies held to build school spirit and celebrate the things happening in the building. Each year we alternate between two big assemblies in order to honor people in our community. Last year we had our Veterans Day Assembly. This year we will have our First Responders Assembly. We invite the local EMT, Firefighters and Police and have them share about how they serve the community. We also love to have students celebrate family members or friends who are first responders. If you have a family member or family friend that you would like to invite to our assembly, please fill out the First Responder Assembly Form so we know who will be joining us. They would need to be at the school by 2:15 on the day of the assembly. We will have your child introduce their special guest.
- If you have not yet returned your Back to School Information page or survey from Back to School Night, please send them in next week.
- Looking ahead here a some future dates to mark down:
- Wednesday, October 2nd- Walk to School Day (Meet at 8:00am in Alderfer Park)
- Thursday, October 3rd- No School
- Friday, October 11th – Picture Day
- Monday October 14th- Act 80- No School for Students
- Friday, October 18th- Fun Run
