Updates and Reminders - October 18, 2024
What a great day we had! Thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped with our Fun Run and to those who came out to cheer on the kids. Thanks to Mr. Kelly for keeping the event lively and the kids moving! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Next week’s news from the nest will be an extended “Fun Run” version so everyone can see the great time the kids had throughout the day. Here are some additional updates and reminders:
- Next week is Character Counts week. We will celebrate by wearing the colors that represent the different traits each day. Here is the color schedule for the week:
- Monday- Purple for Citizenship
- Tuesday- Green for Responsibility
- Wednesday- Gold for Respect
- Thursday- Blue for Honesty
- Friday- Red for Caring and Hat Day (If you are able to donate 50 cents or a dollar for the Indian Valley Character Counts Coalition, that would be appreciated).
- School pictures are ready! To order, log in to your account on mylifetouch.com or create an account using your student's student ID number. All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card. More about the Smilesafe program.
- The Fall Parade and Socials will be on Thursday, October 31st. Weather permitting, we will have the parade on the playground. If it is outside, parents are welcome join us and watch from the grass area. As you are purchasing or creating costumes for the parade, please remember, no weapons or look-a-like weapons. Thank you!
- Friday, November 1st will be the Home and School Bingo Night!
